What is an address?
An address is a piece of information, mostly given in a fixed and somewhat predefined format. An address is used to express the location of a house, appartment, or any other building or for example also for simply define the location of a land. It allows people to navigate to a certain destination easier. A postal code is helpful for mail routing, therefore areas have a different postal code as well. If the address denotes a person in a specific destiantion, the postal code goes into the address as well. Most common identifiers for an address (for example for denoting the location of an appartment) are:
- Name (Owner or renter of the appartment)
- Street, house number and optionally the floor
- Postal code and location
- Country
- Region and Subregion
